PROCEDURE
Dr. Salloum may Increase the size of breasts using implants filled with saline. Dr. Salloum utilizes axillary (armpit) incisions for optimal scar concealment, as well as more traditional incision placement around the nipple or below the breast. Ask if you are a candidate for silicone gel implantation.
LENGTH
1 to 2 hours.
ANESTHESIA
Local with sedation, or general.
IN/OUTPATIENT
Usually outpatient.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Temporary soreness, swelling, change in nipple sensation and bruising. Breasts may be sensitive to stimulation for a few weeks.
RECOVERY
Back to work in a few days. Physical contact with breasts in 3 to 4 weeks. Fading of scars in several months to a year or more.
RISKS
All surgical procedures involve specific risks. Dr. Salloum will discuss this with you at the time of consultation.
RESULTS
Variable. Implants may require removal or replacement.
