PROCEDURE
Dr. Salloum may lift and reshape sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning remaining tissue and nipples. Dr. Salloum favors the state-of-the-art short scar lift, which limits the size of the incision and scar compared to the traditional approach to this procedure.
LENGTH
1 to 3 hours.
ANESTHESIA
Local with sedation or general.
IN/OUTPATIENT
Usually outpatient but sometimes inpatient.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Temporary bruising, swelling, discomfort, numbness and dryness of breast skin.
RECOVERY
Back to in 1 week or more. Resume most strenuous activities in 1 month. Fading of scars in several months to a year work in.
RISKS

RESULTS
Variable. Pregnancy, aging, weight changes and other natural factors may cause new sagging. Results may be lengthened or enhanced when breast implants are inserted as part of the procedure.
