Fillers and Injectables

Enhancing one’s beauty can be achieved easily through different types of fillers and injectables. They come in many different brands and can be used on your face to enhance fuller lips, add contours, soften wrinkles, or even fix minor indentations in your nose.

These products are what is now known to give a liquid facelift. They can provide subtle, natural results without the downtime and cost of a more invasive surgery. Filler treatments are not permanent. They need to be maintained and usually last several months at a time.

Dr. Salloum can discuss and assess your needs. Each and every patient is unique and Dr. Salloum’s patients have praised his gentle hands and natural results. Below you will find more detailed information about the different brands and options available.

Botox Cosmetic is a purified version of a natural protein, Clostridium botulinum. Administered in very small doses, it can relax and smooth deep furrows and lines in the face. Dr. Salloum performs all patient injectables himself. No two patients are treated the same as the location and amount of botox needs to be determined based on the patients aging process as well as muscle movements. During your consultation Dr. Salloum will perform an in-depth consultation to create a esthetic plan that would give the best possible outcomes.

How does Botox work?

Botox Cosmetic works by reducing muscle contractions in the treated area, causing even deep lines and forehead furrows to become smoother and less prominent. Botox is administered as a series of small subcutaneous injections in the forehead area. In most cases, no anesthetic is required, although the area may be numbed with an icepack or a topical anesthetic if you are particularly sensitive. In some cases, patients may feel a slight tingling or soreness in the area, for a short time. In most cases it will take 5 to 7 days for the BOTOX to take effect.

How Long Does Botox Last?

The effects of your Botox Cosmetic treatment can be expected to last up to four months, and treatment can be repeated as necessary as the effects wear off. Pre-Treatment Guidelines before Botox

After Care

If you experience and soreness in the injected area ice packs may be applied to sooth the skin. If you experience any redness you may apply makeup immediately after treatment to minimize the redness. Proper and frequent application of a broadband protection (UVA and UVB) sunscreen is always important. Dr. Salloum recommends applying sunscreen 20 minutes before going outside, and again, immediately before.
